Specification
Tungsten heavy alloys material formed by adding a small amount of Ni, Fe, Cu, Co, Mo, Cr and other elements into tungsten (generally with the content of 80%~98%) serving as the basis. High-specific-gravity tungsten alloy has the density of 15.20~18.70g/cm3, and is also called high-specific-gravity alloy or high-density alloy material by people. High-specific-gravity tungsten alloy is mainly divided into two series, W-Ni-Fe (weakly magnetic) and W-Ni-Cu (non-magnetic) even W-Ni-Fe-Cu. By comparison, W-Ni-Fe alloy has a higher mechanical property and plays a great role in the national defence industry and various fields of national economy, is a very important military new material in the national defence industry, and is gradually generalized to all the civil industries.
a. Large specific gravity: the specific gravity is generally 16.5-18.75g/cm³;
b. High strength: the tensile strength is 700-1,000Mpa;
c. Strong ray absorption capacity: 30-40% higher than that of lead;
d. Large heat conducting coefficient: the heat conducting coefficient of tungsten alloy is 5 times that of mold steel;
e. Small thermal expansion coefficient: 1/2-1/3 of that of iron or steel;
f. Good conductivity: it can be widely applied to illumination and electric welding industries because of its good conductivity;
g. Good weldability and machinability.

Product Description
Gamma Knife is a gamma stereotactic radiation therapy system, the main structure of which is a hemispherical helmet covered with collimators, which emits high-dose ionized rays generated by cobalt 60, i.e. gamma rays. Through geometric focusing, the rays are focused on the target-target in the patient's body through stereotactic orientation.
The tungsten-based high specific gravity shielding material is used to focus the rays without causing damage to the patient's health and medical personnel due to radiation leakage.
Tungsten-based high specific gravity shielding materials are used for gamma knife shielding because they provide better shielding than lead and are more environmentally friendly than lead.
